The Cache County Solid Waste Advisory Board will be meeting Monday at 3 p.m. in the Logan City Environmental Service Center and there will be an update on the Northern Utah Regional Landfill Authority, also known as NURLA.

Logan Mayor Randy Watts is now chairman of NURLA which is an organization comprised of five northern Utah counties working for a solution to landfill needs.

Logan Environmental Director Issa Hamoud and former Cache County Commissioner Darrell Gibbons are other members of NURLA. The group will be talking about recent efforts to get the Box Elder County Commission to consider a lease option for the Little Mountain Landfill.
