After a frustrating delay, the Utah Department of Transportation has announced that the lighting of its new Park and Ride lot in Petersboro, on State Road 30, has successully been achieved.
Although the new highway has been open since late July, UDOT found it to be a significant challenge to get the lights turned on at its new Park and Ride lot which was completed as part of the State Road 30 Passing Lanes Project.
The lot received its asphalt surface last fall but commuters still had to park their cars and catch their car pools each morning in the dark due to a hitch in the process of getting the lot lighted.
UDOT Spokesman Rick Nelson says the final hurdle has been passed and the lights are finally on.
